| The Carbon Management Center (CMC) is a research center of the Colorado Renewable Energy Collaboratory. The Collaboratory is a unique research partnership that allows companies and other organizations to become members of its research centers and access the research capabilities of four world-class research institutions: Colorado School of Mines, Colorado State University, University of Colorado at Boulder, and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. The CMC leverages the renowned research programs at the above four entities. Approximately 120 researchers spanning the four institutions participate in the CMC. Our researchers are focused on basic research, next-generation technologies, and cross-cutting analysis in the following six thrust areas: The above thrust areas are structured around research needs and capabilities rather than individual institutions. All six thrust areas are represented by researchers from all four institutions. However, given the different missions that the four institutions have had since their respective foundings, the center of gravity of any given thrust area is likely to be at one entity. Membership in the CMC allows companies and research institutions to learn about and participate in carbon management science and technology advances, as well as related policy research and analysis. Learn more about becoming a member of CMC by visiting Join the CMC. Research institutions that are interested in becoming an Affiliate Research Institution should contact the CMC Executive Director. |
